VVL Player Survey

Like the way State League is run? Happy with the new 14 week season? Got some ideas of how to improve it for everyone?

Then voice your opinion through the Victorian Volleyball League Player Survey. Some of you may have already filled out the Survey, which was given out by Frosty during round 11 (shortly after proving he’s still got what it takes to play Div 1 ;) ), but for those who have not had their say yet, you can complete the Survey online at:

VVL Player Survey on VVI Website

Everyone is advised to put their thoughts in, so we can have a State League Competition which is the best for everyone.

Live Streaming now a reality for Aus Volleyball

The streaming on Sunday of the Womens AVL Medals matches was a huge success. People as far as Bangkok and Germany tuned to to watch the WA fight out with Uni Blues to take Gold while SA took out the Bronze over QLD.

The matches can still be seen at: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/wavl-final

Watch this space along with Devo Volleyball for any updates of future live streaming events!

AVL Finals Possibly Streamed Live on the Weekend

For those who are interested in seeing the Medal matches of the Womens Australian Volleyball League on the weekend but you will not be in Melbourne, you might be in luck!

I have been working with Chau Le to get some Volleyball games streamed live on the net. I will be performing some tests tonight and tomorrow, and hope to have it up and running for the 2 Medal Matches on sunday at 12 and 2. This will also be a lead up to streaming the State League Finals later in the year for our interstate and country neighbours who can’t make it down but want to see some great Volleyball.

Mid-Season Break

We’ve now reached the mid-season break and i think everyone has deserved 2 weeks off, with both our Honours teams sitting well, in 2nd place. Our Div 1 and Div 2 teams have got some work to do in the second half of the season, to push back up the ladder. Games start again on the 18th of July.

Although it’s not rest for everyone, next week sees the Victorian representatives heading up to Brisbane for the Annual Australian Junior Volleyball Championships. They will take on teams from NSW, QLD, WA, SA, ACT, TAS and a couple of teams from our neighbours across the Tasman, New Zealand. Good luck to all those athletes heading over, and we hope you can bring home the cup for the Vics.

For everyone else, enjoy your rest time, and we’ll see you back for Round 10!
