VVL Player Survey
Like the way State League is run? Happy with the new 14 week season? Got some ideas of how to improve it for everyone?
Then voice your opinion through the Victorian Volleyball League Player Survey. Some of you may have already filled out the Survey, which was given out by Frosty during round 11 (shortly after proving he’s still got what it takes to play Div 1
), but for those who have not had their say yet, you can complete the Survey online at:

Everyone is advised to put their thoughts in, so we can have a State League Competition which is the best for everyone.
Just did the survey…I like that they are finally interested in their key stakeholders feedback! One concern for me is around the question of expanding state league. I don’t agree with an expansion at all. It’s supposed to be the elite competition in the state, so why include less skilled teams. I think honours D1, D2 covers a broad enough range of development levels…the next step would be a division at Kew. More teams should play there!
On the flip side I think increasing the size of the state tournament is a good thing…as long as there are more divisions. I hope they don’t just bump teams up divisions to make it bigger.
I like the fixed time slots, but would prefer to play in the morning. What are your thoughts on this. Would this work in D1 and D2? Might be hard for people like Bill who are running teams across a number of divisions.

I agree regarding the quality of the season competition. There are plenty of social competitions littered around Melbourne (Kew Sports being a major one), so if we want to keep State League as the premier volleyball competition in Victoria, keep the quality of teams up there.
Tournaments throughout the year like Bendigo, Mornington etc are great ways for those lesser skilled teams to get in there and see how they fare against state league clubs. And they are also a great way to bring good competition volleyball out to the regional areas!
